Graham,

Got the motionbar this morning. Haven't got time to play with it today, but
have dismantled it.
The led's are all connected onto long pcb's, so not much scope for
shortening them. Probably wouldnt work properly at a shorter distance
between led's anyway.

Fortunately I have a use for this 1 bar. But won't be buying anymore as,
even if I had more doors sutiable for fitting them, they are too expensive
and would look pretty ugly.

Plan B. Have also just got a couple of under carpet (I hope!) pressure mats.
Am going to experiment with these, one either side of door opening. They are
much cheaper and invisible (again, I hope).

I think I'm going to need more VIOM/SOM modules (or similar) if I end up
needing to control:
a) pressure mats
b) lighting (by attaching to ld/ad modules)
c) speaker switcher (if this works out)
d) some other stuff
Luckily I've got 9 serial ports at the moment, but may need to add another 8
at this rate...
