Sorry to hijack this thread, but if one of you has linux code for 
this, it may be easily portable to TiVo for CLID display for example.
There are OSD proggies out there that work if you are telnetting 
into TiVo and run them, but would be cleaner to have a TCP listener 
that one could direct stuff to - eg from a PC with a Meteor....

So, if one of u has code that you would like to donate to this 
cause, please let me know.
