I fully agree with your thoughts below, from my basic reading of SNAP I
think it covers everything mentioned below.

Too many thoughts flying round my head, so things may not seem to be self
consistant at the moment, I think brainstorming is good especially at the
begining of a project, so I'll stop being evangelical, I certainly don't
intend my comments to be hostile.
