These do look kind of cool, I just watched the flash demo with an american<= BR> voice over.  These are 36x24 LCD pixel buttons, which I guess you coul= d use
to make a programable keypad.   I was thinking more along the lin= es of a
programable LCD screen say 40x8 or 40x4 characters.  With a row of but= tons
for navigation, maybe up/down through selections, Ok/Back to choose, and a<= BR> home button.

A whole project in itself.  The trick will be in making a display/cont= rol
look like part of the house.  First stage, make a device that is just = a
display which can be controled from a PC.  Next add feedback to the di= splay,
eg a few buttons, which get sent as mesages along the same serial line (I notice some displays have keypad interfaces).  If this was interfaced = to a
PC, I pressume you'd need a serial port for each device.  Any takers?&= nbsp; I
plan to get the barcode project out of the way before I take on any other projects
