No longer desperate, now just frustrated. Putting the lappy outside
node zero (3m from the airstation) and there is a 70% signal
strength and all is working.
Node zero is upstairs and I was attempting to use it downstairs,
ceiling inbetween is vaulted victorian brick work.
ISTR that working under the AP is not a good place to be as far as
signal strength is concerned.
Any body got any tips to improve reception/range.
