RE: OT - MP3 in-car

OK - a bit over the top for me...

I don't want the on-line facilities, since the radio won't be easily accessable when driving... hence the need for remote control :-)

Becker car audio equipment is pretty much the cream of the crop ! very good quality stuff…  it’s for the audiophile to have in his car (from what I understand)

If you were to buy any of it, I’d make sure that I take out an extra insurance policy just for the stereo …

Just my two p’ s worth.

Jonathan.

I think you need the Becker Online Pro ;-) See http://www.becker.de, select your

language, then products and Online Pro. It does MP3 as well as having a phone,

WAP, SMS, email and navigation all built in. Oh it plays CD's and has a radio

too. Seems to use a German ISP for email, which seems a bit silly and I'm not

sure about LW...

OK, 3.5 days till we collect the new car... and I'm wondering what I should get by way of in-car audio.

I have some fairly bizarre requirements... but here goes:

- I'd like something that played MP3s from a CD-R

- Can only be one box - no room for a multi-changer

- Would like to be able to get Long wave as well as FM (test matches!)

- Needs to have "hand controls" on a remote cable rather than just on the front

- Needs to be able to cope with being completely isolated from the battery every time we get out of the car

Any suggestions?

Mark
