No-one turns lights on in my house. They come on automatically.

Tony, one thing to look at is a touchscreen. I got a Touchlinc which I
interfaced with the heating. We use it to turn the heating on and off.
SWMBO  is used to this now and also uses it to run bedtime or sunset.
