I ran an ePOD with the screen on (but not the backlight) for over a 
week and it was fine. So for the wall mounted units I will have them 
on all the time with a 'screensaver' of random pictures displayed 
when not in use (tapping on the picture would bring up the 
HomeAutomator screen).
