I have NTL broadband and a home network.
 
Server has 2 network cards in it.
One attached to the NTL cable modem, one attached to a switch (you could use a hub or wireless access point I guess).
 
I use WinProxy to share the internet connection.
(I think there may have been a charge for this.)
Easy to install and configure, totally transparent and runs as a service - you don't even know it's there.
It has added features like firewall and parental controls which I don't use.
It also tells you how to set up your client PC's correctly based on it's configuration.
Piece of cake really...  I assume other free NAT software is just as good though.
