Re: ot outlook 2002 on E2k
Amar,
There is a "well-known" problem with installing any versdion of
Outlook from
2000 upwards on the same machine that is running Exchange server...
Outlook overwrites one of the common DLL's with a different version.
Outlook 2000 or older is not recommended to be on the same system as the
ESM
or Exchange server.
If you check through the MS knowledgebase online, you should find some
instructions on how to fix it...
Basically, if you _must_ run an outlook client on the exchange server, then
stick to Outlook 98 or earlier, as these apps place the core MAPI files in
a
different location. - the location that Outlook installs it's MAPI core
files changed in version 2000, and this makes it break verious things if
its
installed on an Exchange server (esp. Exchange 2K). ISTR that ESM and
Outlook 2000 (and above) are mutually exclusive..
