There's already a Homeseer script for sending caller id to the 
Audiotron so i guess sending any text should be easy enough.

The slimp3 is getting tempting purely from the display point of view, 
but i understand it's hardware can only support mp3 playback, is that 
right?

Probably would be better to have one of those cheap vacuum displays 
jobbies as a home display and stick with the rio's.
