I can only agree with this. The only thing stopping me from buying a Meteor
caller ID is the obscene price.  I expect a large number of other
potential 
meteor customers also feel this way. Perhaps the company that manufactures
this unit will see the advantages of lowering the price - i.e. make more
money by selling a large quantity of units at a lower price vs selling a
small quantity with a high price tag. 

Perhaps one of a small minority that feel this way. Perhaps the majority of
people who buy this kind of thing see the cost of a meteor unit as
reasonable 
or good value.
