Actually, a simpler wrapper is an excellent idea...

Presumably, on Windows, would simply be a DLL, and on Unix a library?

Asking people to install one common DLL between xAP applications shouldn't be too onerous.

PS. The source code for a simple VB xAP compliant test harness is now
in the sourceforge CVS.
