The idea though, is for phase 1 to be displays, but future expansion to
include control elements. and given the I/O capabilities of the Noritake VFD
displays, possibly not even *that much* in the future...

I'm staying quiet after my initial doomsaying, not because I am unconvinced,
but for quite the opposite reason. No free cash to run off and buy
Rabbits/VFDs etc, etc, and i am getting more excited about what is happening
here by the day!

I think someone already said it, but if you have problems with people
accessing your xAP devices you have a bigger problem that you need to sort
out.

Also, I'm not sure what xAP stands for, but if it's x Automation Protocol,
perhaps xIP for x Information Protocol would be better if no control is
being
done with it? (and  it keeps its nice xippy acronym too :-)
