I have to say my experience has been similar ... I do *WANT* to use
Linux, I'd love to have Linux on my lappy and Linux at home on my PCs
but I've not had much success at getting it to work correctly - there's
always been some piece of hardware that hasn't quite worked right,
graphics cards that have almost been supported fully but not quite.

Windows might not be as bomb proof as Linux but it does work...
