High powered IR blaster?

I'm having a meeting with the builders on Wednesday to finalise plans
for first fix electrics. I've got a Marantz RF-IR blaster, which I'm
hoping to use for whole house IR. It works well, but unless you are
mounting it inside a cupboard it isn't particularly pretty. It does have
four sockets on it designed to take mini emitters, which got me
thinking. Why not put a wall box opposite my equipment stack, and then
fit it with a powerful IR blaster, and simply plug it into one of the
emitter sockets?

The question is, does such a device exist off the shelf, how much does
it cost, does it need to be powered etc.
