Re: Re: [OT] Nokia 6310i Opinions?

Could be a firmware issue?

Maybe you two guys could post your firmware versions?

A few places will usually upgrade your phone for nothing.

Don't ask me how many upgrade my 7110 had...

Thats kinda what switched me off from both WAP and nokia.

Yup....

Mine goes through on first connect (takes about 20 seconds, mind.) Then
it works, and stay working...

Mark

I am having the same problem with 6310i + 3970
I have managed to connect now, but it stil connects and disconnects a
couple of time before connecting with GPRS.
It's a bit annoying. Does yours go through on 1st connect?
If so, can you help out please?
Thanks

KR

It's now all working...

Rather annoyingly, it was a (my) typo in the connection string - a list
of non-word characters, and I'd swapped two of them :-(

Now working fine, thanks to Nokia tech support :-)

iPaq + Bluetooth + Nokia + GPRS = Cool

The double-plus good news is that, now I've got it working for our pilot
user, and proved it does, I've gone and ordered 3 more for me, the boss,
and the Intranet manager :-)

Mark,

Are you trying to dial an ISP with the phone or use GPRS?  If the
former, I
have not been able to connect to many ISPs with WinCE/PocketPC as there
is
something with the login session that Global, Freenetname, Plusnet, BT,
....
did not like.  At the time I signed up an account with Freeserve that
did
work but I let it lapse.

If you are trying GPRS then I have no idea!

Regards,

Jon
