RE: Air Conditioning

Yes, that is the normal format for these types of units and I would
fully expect it to be the case here.

>Or are the connecting hoses non-detachable?

Normally they are detachable at least one side to allow you to feed them
through the wall.

>How long are the hoses?

Presently unknown, I want to know that too, however it is normal for the
hoses to be between one and two meters to allow a flexible installation
as possible.

>Can I use longer ones?

Normally no, the system (gas wise), is balanced so you get the optimum
performance from the heat exchange process, just like a fridge and a few
grams of gas difference can be life or death for some of the appliances.
It could be done most likely so long as the hose/s are not fixed at one
end but it could require a recharge to do it and it would be a hit or
miss type affair to get the balance right.

I am awaiting a copy of the installation instructions which should shed
a lot more light on all these questions and probably a lot more besides
and I'll add them to the files area as soon as I get them.
