      Yes you need a PC to run the meteor
software.  I have my server running
      24/7.  Basically, it logs all incoming
and outgoing calls, and associates
      phonebook entries with a WAV file, or if it
is an unknown number, it
      announces the number by picking WAV files of
1-9 and 0 and placing them
      together.  My version (2.9 I think)
doesnt do TTS (Text-to-Speech)

            I take
it you need a computer to run this meteor software which
      i assume is announcing callerid stuff . I
like the announcing idea its just
      i aint got nowhere to put a pc my node 0 is
quite small  plus my computer
      skills are lacking . I believe some guys are
using one channel on their amp
      for daytime announcements and the other for
nite time announcements allowing
      for 2 different volume settings . What does
TTS stand for?
