Not quite an answer to your question, but perhaps of some use:
Samsung DECT handsets have a handsfree 2.5mm jack connector which is
similar to that used on Motorola GSM phones (the handsfree kits are
interchangeable between the two). The shape/design of the DECT
handset is particularly well suited to handsfree use - no external
aerial, a flap arrangement to cover most of the keys and the ability
to answer/terminate a call from the handsfree bit.
