I've always been one for using Linux for servers but have never installed X
on a machine :)
Any recommendations for the following apps and i'll stick redhat with kde
on
a 1.3 gig pc and see how much I can get done :)
Web browser - IE6
email client - Outlook 2k
basic word and excel compatable office doodah - word and excel ;)
flashget/getright-a-like app - flashget
cd-burning software - cd-mate,cdrwin,discjuggler,fireburner
icq client - icq
irc client - mirc
mp3 player - wmp
grfx manipulation - fireworks
winzip/winrar utils - :)
acrobat reader - :)
dvd player - powerdvd
ftp client - smartftp
html editor - dreamweaver
cd-label software - surething
I have put what I currently use after each category if that makes it any
easier.
Any ideas then? Oh, and I ahve kde listed above for no particular reason,
if
theres a better choice...
