I've started to get worried about the cost of running servers 24/7 (even with no monitor switched on). The machine I plan to use for HA 24/7 will be an old laptop - as well as lower power, it has the advantage of its own built-in UPS... Hopefully with enough memory to run a RAM disk for both the OS and HA software, it will use even less power and be silent running since no HD spinning! Nic
