I
put
in stereo because I had a pair of speakers.
I
know
some people run in mono, and at least one person has twin coil speakers
that
take stereo but give out mono.
That
latter option is a bit of a waste of money IMHO, if you are only going to
have
mono then it is far more cost effective to use a couple of resistors to mix
the
line level signals to mono BEFORE the amp. Then use one channel to drive a
single speaker. The other half of the stereo amp could be used for a second
mono
zone in a hallway or second bathroom etc.

I'm about to start running the
loudspeaker cable in my self build and I just wondered if anybody has
bothered
to put just mono into their bathrooms or have you all gone for
stereo.
