Let's put this another way, do you really want to deal with NTL or
Telewest?
I have experience of both and frankly Sky and Pipex (my ADSL) are
miles better.
Cost wise an ADSL and Sky subscription will cost you a bit more than
a cable modem/tv but you get a slightly better channel choice with
Sky (remember Sky supply all the content to cable) and there are some
benefits of ADSL over cable as you mention.
But frankly all this aside, you really do not want to deal with
NTL/Telewest. Ask anybody who is a current customer of either!
