I have been playing; and using a PS2 keyboard through the KVM to
Windows
2000 only gives me a repeat of 8 characters.
If I enable the Accessibility Option of FilterKeys; I get unlimited
repeats=
(like I do with a direct PS2 keyboard), but the repeats are sloooooooow;
so=
the KVM must be working fine (I guess the fact that Windows 98 is OK
holds<=
BR>
this up as true).
This must be a HID setting in Windows 2000; Can anybody with a USB
keyboard=
connected directly to the PC shed some light on this; do I need to put
some=
extra MS drivers on to support a HID keyboard?

Works fine for me with a MS Natural Pro keyboard (MS drivers).
I wanted to use the extra buttons on the keyboard (mail, my computer
etc)
which did not seem to work under the PS2 keyboard connector, but do
work
under USB connection. However, you do need to swap 'active' PCs via
t=
he
button on the KVM, rather than the scroll lock on the keyboard.

Has anybody else noticed that under Windows 2000, you only get 8
characters=
with an auto-repeat, but Windows 98 works normally?
Is there a registry hack to stop this, as it is annoying; but at least
Windows 98 is ok, which is where this would be a real pain for games.
