not even with rock salt?

I remember my dad's next door neighbour patrolling his fields/wood in the
pheasant season with a shotgun and rock salt, and even taking a few pot
shot's at poachers.

Although that was probably getting on for 25years ago.

I don't think they do rock salt for any of my rifles :-(.

Travelling at 3200fps even polystyrene balls would probably kill. d:-o

On the other hand if I told the police a burglary was in progress and I had
seven rifles and about 4000 rounds of ammo on the premises they might get
there a bit quicker.
