Next two things to try:

1) check you are set for PAL-B what you are describing sounds very like what My ATI AIW does when it's set to PAL-M or somesuch other standard

2) download new drivers. This also sounds very like the weird effects my mate was getting when he was using MS supplied drivers with his Asus V7700, they dissappeared with installing Detonator drivers.

best of luck..

as to quality, if you are using XP, turn on the cleartype screeen smoothing. makes a hell of a difference!

I have a nividea card as you say, and I have set it to clone. What I am getting now, is teh PC monitor is fine, but the TV screen is split in 3, with two black lines seperating the screen. If I scroll the mouse to the right, the pointer disappears, and reappers on the left side of the tv screen ?

Yeah, I had this...

I am assuming this is a nvidia card (as ATI card's do a clone image by default) on the Display Properties dialog, go into the advanced tab, click "twinview" tab and change the setting from "horizontal span" to "clone" okay, okay, okay...

et voila ;)

can I suggest -k mode for internet explorer also ;)

Subject: [ukha_d] PC to TV distribution

I'm Looking for a bit of advice on using TV out port on my PC, and I am hoping someone else on the group has done this already....
What I was hoping to do was have a dual display set up. One using my TV out connector, whcih would be connected to a vcr, and then distributed around the house, and the second display would be my pc monitor. Both displays would have to have the exact same outputs.  Here is my problem.

I can manage to get the screen to display fine on either my monitor, or a tv connected to my tv out port on my pc, but not both at the same time!!!!  If I do both at the same time, it looks like what is happening is the display is split between both display devices, with half the display on my monitor, and teh other half on my tv. If I move the mouse button around, I can see it move from one screen onto the next.

Anyone any idea what I'm doing wrong here ? Or has anyone a work around for this ? Any advice would be appreciated...

Thanks,
Eamon
