For me, high security is not an issue. I'm already living in a block with secured entrance with cards and covered with cameras and I'm on fourth floor.

So if I just put it on my flat doors, it shouldn't be an issue.

The other problem for intruder could be, how he can gain a photo of my fingerprint?

This is more like a gadget and I don't want to spend too much on this.

I haven't been following this thread for some reason ... but I can set a few things straight for you.

Lee is right, the BioLogin SDK gives you the APIs and specs to use it in almost anyway you see fit. I'm not sure what version of the SDK you were looking at
though Lee, the Bannerbridge reseller price lists the SDK for v3 biologin as £380 +VAT RRP ... if anyone is seriously interested in getting hold of the SDK, I can
find out how much I can get it for.

Also, I would advise caution against Identix DFR-200/300 scan units for external or high security access, the scan nature means it is possible to fool them with
the right type of photograph of a valid fingerprint. Possibly something from Siemens Infineon sensor or Precise Biometrics range would be more suitable. I don't
have a cost for the PB SDK to hand, but can easily find out.

Just thought I'd mention that both Identix and Precise Biometrics have door entry units for around £1k ... possibly just a little more than you want to spend? :-) Go
check out the mpg on PBs site for their door entry unit ... really snazzy.
