Thats an AUTO-TRANSFORMER.
The
110V output is NOT isolated from the mains.
A
site transformer is fully isolated and centre tapped so each of the output
leads is 55V with respect to earth.

Hmmmmm...
using thost horrible industrial sockets. Why is this 50 quid when a 300W
craplins jobbie is 60 quid?
