Strange problem.
I have a samsung 709 dvd player that has been working fine for many months.  It even plays the Matrix.

Suddenly last week it stopped playing dvd's.  Anything I put in, (any region) it ejects saying that the disk could not be read.  I did a factory reset, still nothing.  I was about to throw it out when I put an audio cd in it and it worked fine.  I then tried a VCD and it couldnt read it.

I'm totally confused now.  Anyone out there seen anything like this?

Matthew
