Being more hardware and installation orientated I find it difficult
sometimes with the wealth of software to set up my PC's at home with the
right software. Also I think that most of us all use the basic setup which
to me now seems to be:
Homevision
Comfort
X10
Mp3
Fujitsu 510's
and now alot of us have multitainers

It would seem of sense to me to try and set up a concept of equipment and
try to standardize our systems by incorporating everyone's efforts into one.
Does anyone else agree?? We all have our own system which does what we want
but so often read on here something better and would like that but never
seem to get round to it. Also we could all help one another as we would use
a set system but more importantly those of us like myself who see big
business potential could develop a proven concept. Whilst we have
competition in this field with the likes of Creston etc.. we seem a small
voice but to me we all have quirky little things happening in our own homes
that Creston can not do. So maybe all of us who are serious should pull
together and maybe make the most of the up and coming London meet to try and
develop a new standard set of automation hardware and software.

Those of you who agree with me could you please email me direct with your
name and email address and comments as I would like to begin with talk to
you all direct as I feel we firstly need to establish a trust between us all
and agree how we want to fund and be funded with this as I feel as a group
others will listen and already I have people interested in this concept.
