er...

If it's mandrake based, how can they place a charge per user on it?
Surely they have to distrib the source code too?

and the GPL should mean that it's free to re-distribute?

Hi,

This might be of interest. Maybe convert a few of you to the darkside.

I have come across a linux distro similar to the Mitel SME/e-smith server
this one is based on Mandrake and installs without any intervention in
minutes turning your old hardware into a multi purpose server managed via a
web interface and includes a groupware system. I have been conversing with
David (ayrsoft) over the weekend and he has just changed the pricing policy
to FREE for 5 users. Worth a look. Details below.

eBoxit
This is a Secure SME server from Ayrsoft that allows small companies to
quickly and easily configure a complete networking environment within
their office. The product includes all the major networking and security
modules required by businesses to co-operate within their own office and
also accross the internet, if required.
Included with the server is a fully interoperable suite of applications
to allow companies to very quicly start working, including email,
schedule, CRM system and document management. This is a growing goupware
suite to match and compete very faveroubly with the larger players in
the market at a fraction of the cost.
The system can be delivered complete with hardware, installation support
and training or by itself as a software product on a self installing cd
rom. Ayrsoft have partners in Wales, England, Scotland (including the
Western Isles), Ireland and France at the moment and are signing up
partners at a tremendous rate.
Ayrsoft have recently announced a FREE version of this software for up
to five users with a very simple and cost effective upgrade when this
limit is reached.

Steve.
