If you're using NTL then you may well get a fair few attempted
connections from them. I think it's to do with DHCP or something like
that to see if you're still using your IP address. From what I've
read it's okay to set it up as an allowable connection (Zone Alarm
Security tab, Advanced button).
I get a lot of pings from various places, but I rarely look into
them. As long as they can't see my PC I'm happy.
Some people argue that the internet standards say your PC must
respond to a ping, but nobody needs to access mine except me.
