I've got 3 ongoing projects I'm looking into at the moment:
- home automation.
- broadband internet access in a little village in Buckinghamshire,
possibly via Satellite downlinks.
- some kind of wireless LAN between myself and a friend in the
village (line of sight maybe).

It's really great that all 3 topics get touched upon on this mailing
list.

The other day there was a mention of a product called BreezeCom
for wireless LAN between buildings, so I tracked that down to:

http://www.alvarion.com/Products_2020.asp?tNodeParam=13

30mile radius !!!

This sounds fantastic, but probably a bit OTT given my friend in the
village is a mere 150m or so from me. :) But if we can get some
kind of broadband 'net access between us, and then share it
across a wireless LAN we'll have a lot of fun. To be honest, it's just
a fun project to see if something like this is possible.

Do these Alvarion people have UK distributers and what sort of prce
are we looking at for this equipment.

Stuart
