I heard that there are problems with 512MB
ram in windows - like it will actually run slower ? Anyone know if there is
truth to this and which versions of windows are affected.

I think it will HAVE to be 98SE.
Just looked on the machine at work to see how much space is taken by the
OS
and Applications I need on it and the disk isnt big enough :-(
Mobo wont support anything bigger than 8.4G.
Time for a new machine.
