Mark,
You set up an ibay (see the docs) then just map a network drive on
your windows box as you would if you were doing windows to windows
mapping. eg. \\E-SMITH-SERVER\GENERAL where
this is the name of server and ibay.
The mail server posts direct to recipent avoiding your isp's relay of
course you still need to logon and use isp's gateway. I also recieve email
from demon via smtp rather than pop. Each user on the internal network
pops mail from e-smith with outlook express
I suppose your ftp question is possible although i can answer. It is
of course possible to make the ftp available to your win machine (ftp or
mapped drive) and the internet. Doing it the other way round.

This is the problem...I would have no idea how to map a Linux drive
to a Win machine.

This interests me. Anything that helps to avoid BT Internet is
a good thing.

I have a Win based FTP server at present. Can I use the E-Smith
one and allow it to see drives on my Win machines?

?
I just wanted a look at the dark side :-)
