Don't forget all plasmas are not created equal. Obviously I'm a big plasma
fan, but the only one I'd give houseroom to is the one that I bought - the
Panasonic.

A big problem with most plasmas is inability to display black properly, it
comes out as grey. Another thing the Panasonic excels at is shades of grey.
With most of the alternatives you get colour banding rather than smooth
graduated fades.

Hitachi may have addressed these issues with their new plasma, and although
the Panasonic is larger, it is worth asking for a side by side dem, so you
can see what plasma can look like.
