Sounds like interference to me.   When my DDAR is plugged in in the Living
room, I can turn the Living Room lights lights on, but not off (they're on
LW10s).   Plugging the DDAR into an FM10 X-10 filter put things back to
normal.

If you work out what's causing the problem then LetsAutomate will refund
you for their X10 filter if it doesn't solve the problem.
