If there is insulation in the wall don't try to drill though it you
might break your arm, the stuff gets wrapped up in the bit and will very
quickly form a ball, which either bursts the plasterboard or jams solid
forcing the drill to try and rotate.

For all the trouble, I would be tempted to go down to the cash point get
200 quid and put it on the foreman's desk and ask him real nice if he
would consider removing some of the boards, if you are careful with the
placement you might manage with only a couple of boards removed from
every other room
