I hate to comment on the subject.. but..

The presence of such a system (although adding the requirement for air
equipment) for a "terrorist" could be used against the pilots.
Surely the best solution, as discussed earlier is more/better airport
security from all aspects.. from passengers to service staff et al..

How about sleeping gas. Air tight cockpit, any trouble, flick the switch
and
resolve it on the ground.
