Some of the guys on list use Lucent Orinoco cards.  The www.praticallynetworked.com site has some really good user reviews of kit.  Lots of users seem to increase their range greatly by using the LinkSys AP with the Orinoco card.  Try www.un-wired.co.uk (from memory).

Also - someone reported that www.dabs.com are doing the Netgear AP and Card for 240 all in.

Any advice on a better card and where to get the best price?
