Ben,

I'm not aware of anything in the "Wiring Regs" that stops you
doing it.

You may find, however, that it can't be certified as CAT5 if you do.
(Since the CAT5 standard specifies not only the construction of the
cable, but the way it must be installed.)

In fact, you won't really have an interference problem - CAT5 cable is
very noise-resistant by virtue of being balanced.

Subject: [ukha_d] wiring regulations

Is anyone able to point me toward any regulations that state whether or
not I can run Cat5 cable alongside mains power cabling inside the same
conduit?

I know doing this would cause interference on the cat5 from the mains,
I'm just looking for clarifications of regulations...

Thanks

Ben
