Triple core and earth - neutral, perm. live, switched live.  That way you
can use modules requiring a neutral connection.

Modules that don't need a neutral connection usually get around this by
leaking a small amount of current through the bulb filament.  This is why
only incandescent bulbs (and not energy-saving fluorescents) must be used.
