Julian,

Assuming that it really is just for first fix (pulling cable), then he's
"quoting high."

Suggest that it would take a couple of weeks: 2 * 40 =3D 80 hours
Suggest that a rate of =A315/hour is reasonable for first fix

... that gives a labour price of =A31200

Why don't you ask him to quote labour only with you supplying the
materials and see how that comares?

Hi Mick,

This price is _just_ for cabling. He will be wiring the house up as if
it=20
were a normal house and leaving me to wire up cats, x10's etc when I
move=20
in (do with the certification and him not pricing for sitting there=20
putting cats into a patch panel). All the cables will be marked up and=20
left either hanging out of boxes or bundled up in existing sockets.=20
Minimal chasing is needed for cables as most of it is dry wall and=20
anything that is running down the outside walls will be in casing and=20
boarded over.

Current stage of build is roof on, no internal walls or floorboards so=20
its the best stage for electrical fixing.

Regards,

Jules
