I don't mind the occasional off topic content or the single line
replies but what I find anoying are the one line posts followed by
the entire thread of a message. This is what makes up the volume and
it is particularly noticable to the digesters.

I know the Yahoo form is poor. It is often hard to see how much could
or should be snipped and I also confess to being guilty myself.
However I do feel that the problem is not the number of posts but the
amount of duplicated material that needs wading throught when looking
for the new stuff.
