I am an avid reader (and occasional poster) of the group and enjoy it
very much.

I find the information on many topics _very_ useful (such as the fact
ITV will be on Sky Digital this year).

BUT, I do sympathise with those who find the huge number of OT posts
annoying, particularly when they are only really a conversation
between two people.

SO...a suggestion

To allow people to build some simple rules to filter the messages,
could we not ask those originating threads to put a simple code in
the subject box e.g.

*HA - X10, Homeseer, Cat5 wiring etc.
*WIN - Windows help
*CIN - home cinema, Kat5, DVD etc.
*OT - blantantly off topic, cheesy chips, etc.
*BUY - any bargains, sale items, ebay pointers

The list does not need to be very long, but I think it would help.

Any comments.

Cheers

Jonathan

P.S. the examples above are in no way meant to point at individuals
and no offence is intended to anyone - I love you all!!!!
