I've asked, I promise. They do another camera that switches to mono at low
light levels but this one allegedly uses a modified CCD that can produce a
colour output. I'm as skeptical as you, because IR is a monochrome light
source, so how can it produce a colour output? However, the guy a Henry's
was saying that he wouldn't believe it either if he hadn't seen it, but
they
now have two, including a submersible one and, allegedly, it does work.

I eagerly anticipate its arrival so I can find out.

Hmm, that sounds rather unlikely, unless the colours involved are various
shades of grey ;) You sure it's not a colour camera which gives a
monochrome
IR picture? I just can't see how a colour picture is physically possible
under those conditions.

Whichever, I'll be interested to hear how you get on!
