You could use the IR mono image as a brightness map, along with some
funky maths to enhance a low lux colour image...
Look forward to seeing a screenshot of some sort... :)

Hmm, that sounds rather unlikely, unless the colours involved are
various
shades of grey ;) You sure it's not a colour camera which gives a
monochrome
IR picture? I just can't see how a colour picture is physically possible
under those conditions.
Whichever, I'll be interested to hear how you get on!
