I have now narrowed the problem down on XP (see my post the other
day) and it is the strangest thing I ever did see!

I have 3 PC's A, B & C.

A is connected to my cable modem and shares the internet with B & C.
It is running win98-se ..This PC also runs homeseer, Homewatcher, FTP
server and other bits and pieces.

B has win XP and win98-se installed, dual bootable

C is a laptop running win98-se

All 3 of these have their fixed drives shared.

Now, from A I can explore drives on B & C without problems. From C I
can explore drives on A & B without any problems. From B I can
explore the drives on C without problems, but if I open my workgroup
from network places, then explore a drive on A, Network places hangs.

Now comes the weird bit. With B in it's hung state, If I close either
homeseer OR homewatcher on A, then B bursts back into life and
displays the contents of the drive on A...If I boot to win98 on B,
shared drives all work as expected.

Please, please help! I really haven't got a clue where to go next. I
am considering installing XP on all my PC's but I run concept PC-
Remote on A. I believe PC-remote doesn't work on NT/W2K/XP :-(

thanks
Neil
