I havent had time to try it yet, as Im still at work, but that certainly
sounds like the problem, can't believe I didnt think of it before.....

It most certainly does allow com port access, but yes, you do have to
configure it yourself. If you know what the /dev/xxxx file for your com
port is, use the configuration for the virtual machine to set com1 [no
it doesn't need to match the real com2] to that file name.

It shouldn't cause any great difficulty, assuming that is the problem of

course ;-)
